The church, an important historical and religious reference point for the community, presents a Romanesque façade with Gothic elements. The interior is decorated with 14th-century frescoes, a Baroque high altar and a side chapel dedicated to St. John the Baptist.

Church “Madonnina”

The church, dedicated to the Madonna Assunta, owes its name to an event that occurred in 1630, when imperial troops attempted to invade the village of San Giovanni Lupatoto, but retreated to the height of a column with a capital depicting the Madonna. To celebrate this miracle, the inhabitants vowed to build a church, which was inaugurated on August 17, 1630.

Subsequently modified in 1872 and 1945, it features frescoes by Giuseppe Resi. Inside is a venerated image of the Madonna with Child and altars dedicated to the Holy Family and St. Rocco.
